All these senior girls are just beautiful.  I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a senior in this day and time.  Things have changed so much.  I know that time is going to fly by and my kids will be seniors before I know it.  Well, I had a great time photographing this beautiful senior.  I love getting to know everyone and always feel like God places everyone in my life for a reason.  Well, here are some of my favorites from the session.  Hope you enjoy.

There will be a benefit Gospel Singing this Saturday night at the Delhi Civic Center at 6:30pm.  This benefit will be in memory of Amber Tamburo.  All the proceeds will go to help out with medical expenses and just whatever the money is needed for.  We will be having an auction and any donations for this auction are welcome.  If you would like to donate something for the auction, please contact me at 318-878-7399.  We will be auctioning anything from household items, photo sessions, gift certificates, paintings, cakes, etc.  If you can come to show support that would be great.  There will be some awesome talent and just coming together to worship God in memory of Amber will be awesome.  Amber’s sister Alyssa (http://vanessadielphotography.wordpress.com/2009/03/16/another-beautiful-senior-ms-alyssa/) will be singing as well. Just a reminder of my Matilda Jane Trunk show coming up March 29th between 11am and 1pm.

I have something I want to do here.  I am a fan of adoption.  I would encourage people to adopt and think it is an awesome thing.  I told my husband if we decide to have other children I want to adopt.  Anyway, I want to hear your story on adoption.  Please send me your story.  Go to the contact area here on the blog and send it via. email and I will collect these stories until Good Friday.  After I collect the stories, I will have someone pick the best and that person will receive a complimentary session for their adoptive family.  You can nominate someone as long as the person you are nominating is aware that you are nominating them.  I can’t wait to hear your story about adoption.  Keep in mind that I want to photograph the kids that have been adopted with their adoptive parents.  I look forward to meeting the winner.

This was a great urban session.  It was freezing cold out but we toughed it out.  You can’t even tell she was cold in the photos.  We had a great time capturing these and running all over the town of Monroe and West Monroe.  I am sure her mom is thinking of how fast time has gone by and probably can’t believe her girl is graduating.  It is amazing how fast the time goes.  We only have our children for such a short time.  We better make sure we make the most of it and lead them in the direction we want them to go.  Well, here are a few from the session and I hope you enjoy.  Have a blessed weekend.

My beautiful niece Skylar.  She has such beautiful lips and eyes.  I love to photograph her but I don’t get the chance to that often and I promise she would rather be playing than having her photo taken.  These are just a few I was able to capture of her.  Hopefully this Spring before we move I will be able to capture some more of her and her brother together.  She reminds me so much of my sister in her photographs at this age.

This little girl is so good in front of the camera.  I could photograph her all day I do belive.  She is just a natural.  I had so mcuh fun helping put together outfis for her.  I gave some of these a retro look because of the outfit in some.  I love the feel of these.  Her grandmother said that she is just growing up so fast and wanted to capture her at this age in her life before she gets too much older.  You may remember seeing her here: : http://www.vanessadielphoto.com/soon-to-be-a-united-family-of-three

I don’t get the opportunity to photograph too many couples because I don’t do weddings, but this is not an engaged couple this is a married couple.  I thought it was so sweet that they treated themselves to a couple’s session.  Their love/ passion for each other is still there and it shows in their session.  When I do get the opportunity to photograph coulples I really enjoy it especially when the couple enjoys it as much as I do.  It makes for a great session.  I love the fact that Lacy brought along her grandmothers couch for some shots as well.  It is awesome when the people you are photographing bring along cool props and the man power to move the stuff.  Well here are some of my favorites and I had many but of course cannot post them all.  Thanks again for stopping by.

Those of you who know me well, yes I picked up the lamp from the dumpster.  I am a proud dumpster diver/ road side diever/ junk finder, whatever you want to call me.  I love junk.  I think Ty and Lacy thought I was crazy and Ty was unsure about touching it and I was like, no it’s ok, I do this stuff all the time.

God’s Will

Not by choice but by God’s Will

I can’t seem to get this precious Amber out of my mind.  I sat for hours yesterday looking at old photos of her I took in 2007.  She is beautiful inside and out.  She is everything and I mean everything that I would want my daughter to grow up to be like.  She has made an impact on the lives of others.  She will have so many wanting to live right and  turn their live over to the Lord so that they can just see her smiling face again.  My daughter told me that we can get a house right next to Ambers when we go to heaven and I said “you are so right, we can.”  But until that day we will miss her.  I am so thankful that I was able to see her last  week on a very good day for her.  We got several pictures of her smiling and just the time we (me, Lorie Rhodes, Misty Holly, and Pat Henderson) were able to spend with her crying, laughing, praying, singing.  It was how we want to remember her.

Please be in prayer for her family as they are going to need it.  Lift them up daily. 

Funeral arrangements are :  Visitation:  Sunday, 01-31-2010   Family 3pm-9pm; Friends 4pm-9pm;  Services:  Monday Feb. 1st at the First Baptist Church in Delhi at 2pm

Know Amber that you will continue to live on with us and you still have a testimony.  We love you and miss you soooooooo much.

Amber trusted in the Lord  and she knew that He knows best.

There is nothing like mothers and daughters spending time together.  I was able to capture some of this beautiful mom and her daughters while she was in visiting family.  I got my exercise too running behind these two.  I almost could’t keep up, but that doesn’t mean I am getting old.  I am always young at heart.   I always love capturing the candid moments.  Those are always the moments you want to cherish and remember.  Here are some of my favorites.  Thanks so much for stopping by to see.

I just always love photographing this family and watching little Ms. “K” grow up.  This time there was a new addition to the family and he is precious.  We had a great time although we were freezing, but despite the cold we still had fun.  I know I have several of little Ms. “K’” dancing but I just love seeing the girls dance.   These are a few of my favorites.  Thanks again for stopping by.  I will be out-of -pocket tomorrow and not responding to emails until Friday in case someone tries to reach me.  I most likely will not be accepting calls tomorrow either.  I will resume on Friday afternoon and then I will be out-of-town until Sunday evening so again I will only be responding to emails and phone calls on Friday and then not again until Monday.

These two were so great to photograph.  They had scheduled a session for when they were in visiting family.  I was given complete space with these two and they did awesome.  Mom and their grandmother came along and they just let me take the two kids and go to photographing.  They performed like pros in front of the camera.  I love this age.  This age is great to photograph and great about following advice.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Hope ya’ll enjoy.
